Update on The Journey

It has been a while since updating you on the church plant, so here goes:

We have developed our Class 101 which is Joining the Team. Anyone interested in being part of The Journey will first attend this class which covers the basics from what we believe, to how we will function as a church.

We developed Class 201 which is our process for making disciples. Our mission statement is to make disciples that make disciples by loving God and loving others. We do not believe that disciples are made in a weekly class at the church so Class 201 instructs partners (we do not have members) how we intentionally make disciples in small group settings.

We also developed a Class 301 which is Sweet Spot Living. Sweet Spot living takes a persons personality, spiritual gifts, strengths, passions, and priorities and helps them to discover why God created them. We also teach how people can live within their sweet spot reducing frustration in life.

In our first round of Class 101 we had 9 people attend the class and become partners with The Journey. We also had our first worship service and had 19 in attendance. We have moved from one small group to two and are looking at starting a third by the first of the year. Our next worship service is scheduled for Wednesday November 12, so please be in prayer for this.

I am excited to be at the part of The Journey to be putting flesh to the vision that God had put upon my heart a couple of years ago. It has been an interesting journey so far and I know that God has much more in store for us over the coming months.
