As we continue to build relationships with those around us, our mental movie is that everyone will accept our friendship. The reality is that people make promises, they seem like they are all about the relationship, and it looks like your mental movie will work out to perfection. Then something happens and the realization that your mental movie was completely wrong and the relationship goes no where. So what do you do? Do you give up and quit investing into others?
