The Christmas Missionary

Have you ever thought about the fact that Jesus was a Christmas missionary? In Matthew 1:18-25 we find the Christmas story. In this story we see Jesus as a missionary in two ways:

1. verse 21: And she will bring forth a Son and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. Jesus offered salvation to the world.

2. verse 23: Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated God with us. Jesus came to man.

These two things may not seem interesting to you, but if we as believers are to be missionaries we must do the same. We must offer salvation to the world. And we must go to them, not expect them to come to us. During this Christmas season, let's strive to be Christmas missionaries.

What a wonderful vacation our family had, it was incredible. It was hard to leave the 85 degree Florida weather and return to dreary SC. But it's all good. This week I will be at a church planters training class until Wed. and then leave for Gatlinburg, TN on Thursday. Don't know if I will get to post much, but I will try.
